I'm brand new

We were so suprised for Harrison's early arrival. When Nikki started having contractions around 12am on May 5th, Adam's first response was "get something to drink and go back to bed". By 3:00 Adam and Nikki both realized that this was the real thing and started to rush around to get the bag packed. Adam kept track of each contraction and called the hospital when they were about 4 minutes apart. By 11am we were checked into our own room and trying to make sure that the contractions did not slow down by walking and moving around. By about 4pm Nikki couldn't take it anymore and asked for an epideral-she immediately fell asleep for almost an hour. Our midwife came in to do a check around 6:30 and realized that Nikki was not only at 10 cm, but that Harrison's head was already starting to crown. After about 40 minutes of pushing we had a beautiful and healthy little boy. We were so happy that he decided to come 3 weeks early since he was over 8lbs already!
