Smashing Pumpkins

I don't know why people think it is so funny to smash pumpkins. I do not find anything about it very amusing. I guess we should have known better than to leave our pumpkins out past Halloween, but I have to admit it still made me pretty sad. I'm sure it was the same kids who tried to steal the candy from the woman across the street from us. Never fear-I am working on a plan for next year-something that will set off an alarm when they touch our pumpkins or something that will mark their hands when they go to pick it up. I'm sure that will be a lot more fun for me:)
