The Big Boy Bed
We have completely made the switch from Harrison's old room to his new room. He was a little unsure of his new bed at first, but just two days after we put it together he decided that he wanted nothing to do with his old bed and is very happy to sleep in his new bed. We don't have a bed railing for him right now so I have been a little nervous about him rolling out of bed. Adam pulled out most of our blankets (we have so many blankets it's not even funny) and propped them up next to the side of the bed. It's a good thing that he did this. On night number four in the new bed Harrison managed to get out and ended up in the corner of the room. My dad was staying with us and heard him yell. He found him crunched up in the corner trying to sleep on a loose pillow. Last night there was a similar scare. Adam had moved to the couch (which he assures me has nothing to do with my enormous belly and constant tossing and turning) and at about 4am last night he woke up to Harrison yelling "Mommy, Daddy, help me". He went in and Harrison had rolled out of bed into the enormous pile of blankets. He wasn't hurt, probably just stuck. Adam helped him get back into bed and he went right back to sleep. This morning he didn't remember any of it so I don't anticipate any problems tonight.
I never anticipated that we would actually have him in his new room before the baby arrives. I hope that this will make things a lot easier for him with another big transition coming up!

A big boy bed! I can't believe how much he has grown up. Looking forward to the new one! How are you feeling?
