First Smile

Adam and I were up late again with Vance last night. He has decided that he loves to be awake from about 8pm-2am. He isn't incredibly fussy, just awake, or enough awake that you can't really put him down. We were all sitting in bed trying to get him to close his eyes when Adam said something. Vance turned his head toward Adam, looked right at him, and smiled. It was so beautiful. I'm glad we both got to see it. It made being up at that time of night seem worthwhile-if only for a moment.
