Happy, Happy Birthday!

For Harrison’s birthday on Tuesday we had a pretty low-key evening planned. Of course Hickory Park is the ideal location to celebrate your birthday in Ames, first they serenade you and then free ice cream-what could be better. Then after much deliberation we decided that low-key isn't what we really want for our little boy so we decided to invite Mick Jagger to come and dine with us to help little H celebrate.

Unfortunately, the word of his travels to Ames spread quickly in this small town and Hickory Park was crawling with people trying to catch a glimpse of the Rolling Stones front man. Luckily most of them were just loitering outside the building and we were still able to get in to celebrate Harrison’s birthday. We had a fantastic time and I'm sure that Mick is regretting his decision to snub H on his birthday.
