Harrison is becoming quite the story teller. Not too long ago Adam explained to him that sometimes if we don’t have a book with us to read we can just make up our own stories together. Harrison was a little skeptical at first, but has really gotten the hang of it. He is always saying “You tell me a story” or “Listen, I tell you a story now”. It comes in handy when we are tired of reading the same Thomas books over and over.
Adam left for a work trip on Tuesday night at Harrison’s bedtime. He stuck around long enough to tuck him in and explained that he would not be around for a few days. The next morning Harrison asked me where Daddy was. I told him that Adam had gone to work-he replied “No he is not, he is at California”. Then he proceeded to tell me a story about Daddy’s trip to California. Here it is (at least my best attempt at remembering it)…..
Once upon a time, Daddy is at California for work. Daddy had to go on an airplane to go to work. Harrison has to run super fast to get to California to see Daddy. Harrison has to go, go, go. Harrison is eating super fast meat and is flying to California. Harrison wants to see Daddy on the airplane. Harrison is going to beat Daddy to California. Harrison has to run fast now because there is snow and it is cold. Harrison sees Daddy on the airplane. Harrison misses Daddy. The End. “Now you tell me a story Mommy”.

Love the story! Nate likes the part where Harrison has to eat fast meat. :) I hope that Adam is home for the weekend and you can all spend some time together!
Awww, that is so cute, what a great story by Harrison!!! :)
The only way we can get him to eat his meat is to make up things like "this is super fast meat and if you eat it you will be able to run faster than a train". I wonder how long this little trick is going to work:)
