Our Christmas

This year we wanted to start our own family traditions for Christmas. We feel like Harrison is at an age where it is important to begin these traditions and share them with him each year. It was fun figuring out exactly what we wanted to do. We incorporate a little from Adam's family and a little from my family to make our own unique Christmas celebration. It was a lot of fun! Here are some of the highlights...
Here are Adam and Vance singing Christmas carols on Christmas Eve. We lit candles, read the Christmas story, and sang as many songs as we could remember.

Harrison helped select the right cookies and milk for Santa. He picked out the cup and plate that Santa would like best and even remembered to put out carrots for the reindeer.

Santa came and set out gifts for the boys. Some were wrapped and in their stockings and some were sitting out for them to enjoy as soon as we were all awake.

In the morning, Harrison was so excited that Santa had "drunked all the milk" and eaten all of the cookies that it took him a VERY long time to notice what Santa had left him-a table and new track for Thomas and friends. If I can figure out how to post the video of him noticing the track for the first time I will be sure to post it-ADORABLE!

The trains were a huge hit, but for the record this is not what Harrison had asked Santa for. On ever occasion that Harrison was asked what he wanted for Christmas or from Santa the only thing he would ask for was a talking fish. Luckily for us Thomas and friends were an acceptable substitution.
